ABOUT BAGISKÖREN
In September 2024, a completely new
new pop choir in Bagarmossen.
We currently have around 50 members and have sung music by The Magnetic Fields, Adriannne Lenker, Neil Young and Kraftwerk, David Bowie, Amazon, Billie Eilish and Beach House during the first semester.
The choir is open to all interested parties and rehearses in the center of Bagarmossen every Wednesday.
In this choir we will focus on the emotions, the storytelling and what makes those best songs great in the first place. We will sing with our hearts and create artistic experiences, not only for a potential audience who listens, but also for ourselves.
Our goal during our rehearsals should always be to give ourselves goosebumps, then we have succeeded!

On our last rehearsal before the Christmas break, we made a simple recording of ourselves singing Amason's song Några ord om dig. Listen to it in the video player.
In Bagiskören we sing pop music, with a focus on indie pop. We don't choose songs to sing based on how popular or well-known they are, but on how they make us feel, and whether they are suitable for making polyphonic arrangements. We want to contribute something of our own to what we sing, make our own interpretation of songs we love, and maybe make our audience and ourselves look at the songs in a different way.
We rehearse every Wednesday in the Bagarmossen center, between 7-9 pm. We have 13 rehearsals each semesterand at least one concert.
The semester fee is 1700:-
Another weekday
Due to the great interest in joining the choir, we are planning to possibly have a second day of the week for rehearsal, so that the choir will consist of two groups. However, this will not happen until autumn 2025 at the earliest, but if you cannot make Wednesdays, it is fine to register your interest for another day of the week in the autumn.
My name is Hugo Lindmark and I am the choir director and initiator of Bagiskören. I have lived in Bagarmossen for 18 years and am educated at the Örebro Academy of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, and in addition to the Bagiskören I lead two choirs in Jakobsberg, Järfälla Manskör and Järfälla vokalensemble .
I am a freelance musician, producer, composer, songwriter, conductor and music teacher, and I do music because I love creating artistic experiences, for myself and for others. I want to create a choir that is not only about creating artistic experiences for an audience, but creating it for us who sing, every time we meet.
And in my opinion, there is nothing more artistic than singing together and letting voices become music.

The soprano and alto voices (the traditionally female voices) are currently full, but it is still possible to register for those voices and be put on a waiting list.
However, there are still places available in the tenor and bass voices (the traditionally male voices).
Due to the great interest in singing with us, we are now planning to expand the choir to another weekday in the fall of 2025. We are also accepting applications for this now. Please tick which variant(s) of the choir you are interested in.
The rehersals and the communication in the choir is held in Swedish!
